Citizen’s Park and Open Space Advisory Team
The citizens Park and open Space Advisory team was formed as a group of interested volunteers, as well as some Cherokee Metropolitan District staff and Board Members, who wanted to take part in the development of a Master Plan for Cherokee Metropolitan District’s parks and open parcels.
The Goals of the Team are to prioritize the park related costs associated with running the District, while also turning the Parks and Open Space Parcels into smartly developed areas that serve the needs of the Community. As Parks facilities are developed, Cherokee anticipates that property values, as well as community spirit, will rise.
The current members of the Advisory Team are as follows: Jan Cedeberg, Linda O’Riley, and Nathaniel Williams. Cherokee’s Parks and Open Space Foreman Pat Farrell and a couple of administrative staff members also attend meetings and provide technical and research support to the Advisory team.
The meetings are scheduled the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 4:00pm. Everyone is welcomed to attend the meetings as we discuss the future development of the Parks and Open Space within the Cimarron Hills Community.
