I was born and raised in a very small town in North Central Iowa. As a young boy, I worked in my father’s welding & machine shop and learned the welding trade.
I moved to Colorado Springs in 1965 and worked in the welding trade.
In 1968 I joined the Colorado Springs Fire Department and made it my career. I retired in 1994 as a Battalion Captain.
My Wife and I constructed our own home in Cimarron Hills in 1976 and raised our daughter and son here. They are both now married and still live here in Cimarron Hills and have provided us with 5 granddaughters.
I was born and raised on a farm in western Kansas. I graduated from college with a Business/Accounting degree. I worked at grain elevators where I bought and sold commodities. I married a wonderful man and am now a home schooling mom of three beautiful daughters. We have lived in Cimarron Hills for over twenty years and we plan to be here for a long time.
I grew up on the farm knowing the importance of water. I have gained an understanding of water, water rights, and the issues facing us in the Cherokee District. I care about the future of our water for my girls, my future grandchildren and this community. By being on the board at Cherokee, I hope I can use this knowledge to do something about the issues. I will be glad to visit with you and discuss your concerns or questions.

I was born in Waterloo, Iowa, November 4th, 1947. I resided there until I joined the Navy in 1966 at age 18. I served aboard an aircraft carrier, the USS America and saw a tour in the Mediterranean Sea and a tour in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. I came home in 1968 at age 20, my service completed. In 1969 I met my future wife Sandi. We were married in 1970 and moved to Colorado in 1971. We bought our first and only home in Colorado in 1972 and have lived in Cimarron Hills ever since.
Sandi and I have worn many hats in our lives. We have mastered many skills and owned several businesses, but what we care about most in life are family, friends, God and our country.
