Cherokee Metro will be hosting an informative xeriscaping course featuring water wise plants (info and examples), and tips on fertilizers, turf care, and irrigation. This course will be offered on Saturday, April 11th and Saturday, April 18th from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

The Cherokee Metro District’s certified water operators are currently attending to one, or possibly more, water main leaks on Hathaway Drive in the Cimarron Hills neighborhood.  The leak surfaced in the street around midnight last night and following location of the natural gas service lines and other utilities, the field operations team has been busy excavating the leak, cut out one problematic section of pipe that had blown out, and are preparing to insert a new replacement section ...

Don’t pour grease.  Don’t be rash.  Grease plugged drains will cost you cash!!!  Pour your cooking fats, oils and grease into a used can.  Seal the grease with one of our can lids until it cools; then throw the can and grease in the garbage.  Re-use the can lid every time you need to dispose of grease.  The lids fit most can sizes.
